ChronoPad® for 13″ is cut for the MacBook Air 13″ deck and measures 83 × 86 mm per pad. It is the smallest pad we make, which also makes it the one to look at if your palm rest is shallow or narrow. Metal bracelets and polished cases rub against the palm rest as you type, leaving micro scuffs over time; ChronoPad® puts a soft, clean barrier exactly where that contact happens.

Dimensions

Every ChronoPad set contains two pads, one for each side of the trackpad, and both pads in a set share the same dimensions. The measurements below are the outer dimensions of a single pad.

ChronoPad Cut for Width Depth
13″ MacBook Air 13″ 83 mm 86 mm
14″ MacBook Pro 14″ 86 mm 86 mm
16″ MacBook Pro 16″ 93 mm 105 mm

A ChronoPad is not a plain rectangle. The last 5 mm along the front edge is narrower so it stays clear of the trackpad: 72 mm on the 13″, 75 mm on the 14″ and 82 mm on the 16″. Applied correctly, the pad leaves 3 mm to the keyboard and 5 mm to the trackpad.

What ChronoPad® solves

If you wear a watch daily, you have probably felt it: the bracelet dragging on the palm rest, the little squeak on certain desks, the marks you only notice when the light hits at an angle. Taking your watch off is not always practical, especially in public, during travel, or between meetings. ChronoPad® lets you keep the watch on and keep working normally, while reducing friction and helping prevent those day to day scuffs.

Materials and construction

A polyester microfibre top layer over a closed-cell polyurethane foam core, backed with a 0.15 mm removable acrylic adhesive of the 3M 9448A class. That combination is what makes the pad soft under the wrist and what lets it come off again without leaving residue.

Will it fit my laptop?

On a MacBook Air 13″ it fits as designed. If you are measuring a different laptop, compare your usable palm rest area with the 83 × 86 mm above: this is the size that suits the shallowest decks. ChronoPad® is cut for MacBook decks, so we cannot promise a perfect fit elsewhere, but the pad attaches the same way on any surface. If in doubt, measure first and use the 30 day return window.

Why people choose this size

  • Sized for the Air 13″ deck, where space around the trackpad is tightest
  • Two pads per set, so the watch stays on whichever wrist you wear it
  • Soft microfibre under the wrist during longer typing sessions
  • Colour matched to Midnight and Silver Air finishes
  • Removable without residue, so it moves with you to your next machine

ChronoPad®

ChronoPad® is a low profile protective pad for the MacBook palm rest, made for people who wear a watch while they work. Metal bracelets and polished cases can rub against the palm rest as you type and use the trackpad, leaving micro scuffs over time and making the surface feel scratchy under your wrist. With ChronoPad®, we add a soft, clean barrier right where contact happens, so your watch and your MacBook stay in better condition without changing your routine. It installs in minutes, sits neatly on the palm rest, and blends into a minimal setup.

ChronoPad® is designed and cut for MacBook decks, so we cannot promise a perfect fit on another brand. The pad itself attaches the same way on any clean, flat surface, so if the measurements work it will do exactly the same job.

Measure the usable area of your palm rest, between the keyboard and the front edge and between the side and the trackpad, and compare it with the sizes above. One warning about screen size: a 16″ Windows laptop usually has a noticeably shallower palm rest than a MacBook Pro 16, so the 16″ ChronoPad is often too deep for it. Choose the size that matches your measurements, not the size that matches your screen. Every order has a 30 day return window if it turns out not to sit right.

ChronoPad® is a soft protective pad for your MacBook palm rest. It sits exactly where your wrist rests while you work and helps prevent scratches caused by watches, metal bracelets or jewellery.

If you often work on your MacBook while wearing a watch, bracelet or jewellery, the palm rest can get scratched over time. ChronoPad® helps protect that area while still feeling soft and comfortable on your skin.

ChronoPad® is available in Space Black, Silver and Midnight. These colours are designed to blend in nicely with popular MacBook finishes.

Yes, ChronoPad® is designed to blend in with MacBook finishes, so it protects your palm rest without looking out of place.

ChronoPad® is made in three sizes, each cut for a specific deck: the 13″ for the MacBook Air 13″ (83 × 86 mm per pad), the 14″ for the MacBook Pro 14″ (86 × 86 mm) and the 16″ for the MacBook Pro 16″ (93 × 105 mm). If your MacBook is one of those models, pick the matching size and it fits as designed.

Older or smaller MacBooks, and laptops from other brands, are not covered by a dedicated size. That does not always mean it will not work: measure the usable area of your palm rest and compare it with the three sizes above. If one of them fits your measurements, the pad will do the same job.

Yes, you can order multiple ChronoPad®s at once. This is useful for teams, companies, events or branded business gifts.

Yes, customisation for companies is possible. You can contact us through the contact form to discuss the options, quantities and design possibilities.
